I’M NEW TO INDOOR CYCLING, HELP!
Every professional was once a beginner, and we are here to help you on your journey, no matter what your level of fitness or ultimate goals may be. The beauty of group classes is that you don’t have to be competitive. You determine the pace that’s best for you. After a few classes, you’ll build stamina and confidence. As they say, it’s just like riding a bike!
Please arrive 15-20 minutes before your first class, even if you have taken cycling before.
REBEL 101: INTRO TO CYCLING CLASS
We encourage new riders to sign up for Rebel 101, which is FREE and will help you understand everything you need to know about bike setup, terminology and form. This class is usually offered on the first Saturday of the month at noon, but is subject to change. We are happy to schedule a time for a private introduction if the 101 class doesn’t fit into your schedule. Bring a friend and start your journey together!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR AND BRING TO MY FIRST CLASS?
Comfortable, moisture-wicking tops and tight fitting cycling shorts or fitness pants are recommended to avoid fabric near the pedals. Remember to bring socks, but we have plenty at the front desk if you forget. Cycling shoes are required and available free of charge. If you have your own, our pedals accept both Look Delta and SPD cleats. Towels are provided, but please bring a water bottle. We also have bottled water available for purchase.
For Studio B classes, we provide equipment and mats, but you are welcome to bring your own mat.
WHAT MAKES YOUR CYCLING CLASSES UNIQUE?
Our Cycle Theater– Unique to the market and designed to enhance every aspect of your ride. Mesmerizing LED illumination is integrated into each well-planned class to create a motivating atmosphere.
Our Instructors– The most highly-trained instructors in our region, you’ll quickly appreciate the difference!
Our Bikes– Custom branded Stages SC3 bikes are among the best in the industry. The Stages power meter is widely known and respected for accuracy and is used by professionals around the world.
In-Class Metrics– Follow your progress and learn your training zones in Power and Remix Rides. Then receive your results in an email. Results will also be emailed after Rhythm Rides, but not displayed on the TV screens. You can also elect to remove yourself from the screens….just ask us.
ARE CYCLE SHOES REQUIRED?
Cycle shoes are required for the best ride experience. They are offered complimentary, but if you have your own, our bikes accept both Look Delta and SPD cleats. Cycling shoes provide a level of safety, proper foot alignment, and increased performance. The stiff sole maximizes the transfer of energy, and hamstrings are engaged more fully because your foot is attached to the pedal. The stiff sole also helps reduce foot fatigue and cramping. You will appreciate the difference of “clipping in” once you try it!
INFRARED HEAT FAQs
Now for the burning questions. “Infrared” refers to a wavelength directly below the color red on the electromagnetic spectrum, which transfers energy. Our yoga and other fitness offerings are taught under this infrared radiation.
The heat penetrates deep into the body, providing benefits like increased flexibility, improved circulation, detoxification through sweating and potential muscle relaxation. This is considered more beneficial than traditional hot yoga and fitness due to the deeper heating effect of infrared rays. We know heated classes can be a little intimidating at first, but we’re here to give you all of the information you need to get comfortable. Happy sweating!
WHAT IS INFRARED HEAT, AND HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM TRADITIONAL HEAT?
Infrared heat warms your body directly, rather than heating the air. This creates a more comfortable experience that promotes deeper sweating and increased circulation—without the stifling humidity of traditional heated rooms.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF INFRARED WORKOUTS?
Exercising in infrared heat may help:
• Boost circulation
• Detoxify through deeper sweating
• Enhance flexibility and mobility
• Improve skin clarity
• Support muscle recovery
• Promote a calm, centered mind
IS IT SAFE TO WORK OUT IN INFRARED HEAT?
Yes—when done with care. Stay hydrated, listen to your body, and rest if needed. If you have any medical concerns, it’s best to consult your physician before attending a heated class.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR AN INFRARED CLASS?
• Hydrate well before and after class
• Wear lightweight, breathable clothing
• Bring a water bottle, yoga mat and barre socks, depending on the class
• Arrive early to acclimate and ground yourself
WILL I SWEAT MORE IN THESE CLASSES?
Yes, and that’s a benefit. Infrared heat promotes a deeper, more effective sweat—helping release toxins and leaving you feeling renewed.
WHAT CLASSES ARE HELD IN THE INFRARED STUDIO?
Our infrared studio hosts low-impact, high-reward classes where the heat will be on for most, but not all formats.
-Vinyasa Flow
-Yoga
-Barre
-Body Sculpt
-TRX
-Core Flow
-Buti Yoga
-Circuit Training (not heated)
CAN BEGINNERS TAKE INFRARED CLASSES?
Absolutely. All levels are welcome. Our instructors offer options for every body, and you’re always encouraged to listen to yourself and rest when needed.
GENERAL FAQs
DO YOU HAVE LOCKERS OR SHOWERS?
Rebels love luxury, so we offer private showers with spa-grade skin and hair products, fluffy Egyptian cotton towels, and a fully-stocked blow dry bar. Generous changing rooms and social spaces include keyless lockers with USB outlets so your techy gadgets can charge while you recharge! We even have plastic bags for sweaty workout clothes!
HOW DO I RESERVE A BIKE OR CLASS?
To reserve your bike, log into your account, select your class on the schedule and select your bike of choice. You will receive an email confirmation for the reservation. You may also change your spot in your account, if needed. Note: Studio B classes require a reservation, but not for a specific spot.
BOOKING WINDOWS & CANCELLATION POLICY
You may book any class up to 7 days in advance. Early booking is highly recommended to avoid the waitlist and select your preferred spot in the cycle room. Studio B requires a reservation, but not a specific spot in the room. Customers who have the Ultimate Unlimited Membership or 100 class pack have a 14 day booking window.
Customers may cancel a reserved class without penalty up to 12 hours before the class. A reservation not cancelled at least 12 hours prior will result in loss of the class credit. A “no-show” will also result in loss of the class credit. Unlimited members will be charged $10 for a late cancellation or no-show.
THE WAITLIST
If a class is waitlisted, sign up! Quite often there are cancellations and you will be notified by email as soon as a spot opens up. Waitlisted customers may receive a spot up to 2 hours before the class. We ask that you please check your email often to see if you got into the class. If at some point you know you won’t be able to attend, please remove yourself from the waitlist. Late cancellation and no-show penalties still apply if you get into a class during the 12 hour late cancel window.
IS THERE AN AGE OR HEIGHT REQUIREMENT?
For safety purposes, riders must be at least 14 years of age and 4’11” or taller to enjoy our classes. Riders under 18 must have a parent/guardian complete a waiver.
CAN I TAKE ANY OF YOUR CLASSES IF I’M PREGNANT?
Many expectant mothers take classes at all stages of pregnancy, but please consult with your physician to determine if it’s safe for you.
HOW DO I BRING A GUEST?
You may use credits from any credit package to book a guest. Our monthly memberships also have guest credits included. For detailed instructions on guest booking, check out the article under “Rebel News!” Guests must have their own Rebel Ride account in order to take a class and benefit from receiving ride results. Please note, class credits and memberships are not transferable.
LATE ARRIVAL
Classes will begin on time and studio lighting will be dim. For your safety, and to respect the class environment, late arrival may result in your bike or Studio B spot being released to another customer. We release spots to waitlisted customers 2 minutes prior to class. We do not allow entry to classes later than 5 minutes after the class has started. If you are a first-time rider, you will not be allowed to join the class unless you arrive at least 10 minutes prior.
NO PHONE ZONE
In order to experience the best 50 minutes possible, we ask that you leave your cell phone in your locker, which is equipped with a charging station for your convenience.
EARLY DEPARTURE
The energy in the room during our classes is transformative and addictive! If you must leave class early, we ask that you select a spot close to the door in order to keep the distraction to a minimum.
WHAT IS YOUR RETAIL RETURN POLICY?
If you need to return or exchange an item, you can do so within 7 days. The item must be unworn and have tags attached. All sale items are final sale.
